Bicester Festival is being reimagined for 2027, bringing together local artists, performers, community organisations and residents to celebrate creativity across the town.
Bumble Creatives has taken an active role in helping move the festival into its next chapter, supporting its development, rebuilding its online presence and working with local partners to explore what a renewed Bicester Festival could become.
The aim isn't simply to recreate what existed before, but to develop an inclusive, collaborative festival that reflects Bicester today, creating opportunities for local people to participate, perform, make, share and experience arts and culture in their own town.
PROJECT: Bicester Festival
STATUS: In development
NEXT FESTIVAL: 2027
FOCUS: Arts, performance & community
ROLE: Development, partnerships & digital infrastructure
PLACE: Bicester

Much of developing a community festival happens long before the festival itself. During 2026, work has included rebuilding the Bicester Festival website, reconnecting with local organisations and stakeholders, exploring potential performance and community spaces, and beginning conversations about partnerships and opportunities for 2027.

The development of Bicester Festival sits alongside the wider B Hive vision: helping strengthen Bicester's creative infrastructure and creating more opportunities for artists, organisations and communities to connect.
Both are rooted in the same idea, that creativity should be visible, accessible and part of everyday community life in Bicester.
