Creative Connections: Community Workshops in Bicester West
Creative Connections is a programme of gentle creative activities and practical wellbeing for adults in West Bicester seeking connection, confidence and creativity.
Our first eight-week programme took place at Kingsmere Community Centre during spring 2026, with up to 14 participants joining us each week. Following the response to the programme, Creative Connections is returning for a further eight sessions in autumn 2026.
Creative Connections has been made possible through funding from Cherwell District Council’s Bicester West Community Insight Fund, with match funding from Oxfordshire Community Foundation’s Community Capacity Fund. This combined investment has helped us develop and continue accessible adult creative wellbeing provision in Bicester.

A Celebration
We ended with a celebration at Bicester Library with participants, friends and family as well as visitors from Cherwell District Council, the Mill Arts Centre and Bicester Mayor Cllr Dr Paul Wheatley.
The Original Vision

- Creativity to support confidence and emotional resilience
- It’s not an art class, it’s a wellbeing space that uses creativity as the doorway.
- Groups will be small, around 10 to 12 people, so it feels safe and manageable.
