Bumble Creatives began during a time when many local services were closing, and I could see that young people in particular were at risk of losing the safe, supportive spaces they had come to depend on. Overnight, with the encouragement of my husband, Andrew, we set up Bumble Creatives as a Community Interest Company, not entirely sure what would happen next, but certain that even a small offering of creativity and care was better than none.
Since then, Bumble has quietly grown within our community, building strong connections, trust, and goodwill. We've expanded our little team with experienced practitioners, artists and volunteers. With the right support and funding, we’re now ready to offer even more locally, continuing to nurture wellbeing, expression, and belonging through creativity.
And why Bumble Creatives? It’s both a tribute to a dear friend, Buzzy, who brought warmth and sunshine to every adventure, and a nod to our own story. Andrew and I often call each other Bumble. It’s who we are, and it’s what we stand for: community, creativity, and care that keeps on buzzing.
