Elmsbrook Creative Workshops (A2 Dominion)

Elmsbrook Creative Workshops (A2 Dominion)

Kindly supported by the Unlock Futures Fund from Bicester Village, this weekly arts-based group provides a safe, creative space for up to ten young people aged 12–16 who face anxiety, school refusal, and social withdrawal. The sessions used artmaking as a tool for dialogue and personal growth.

A series of workshops subsidised by A2 Dominion, housing association to provide affordable, multi-generational creative workshops, supporting confidence and social interaction in Elmsbrook, a sustainable village on the outskirts of Bicester.

The Stained Glass Effect

Young people from Whitelands Academy, Creative Minds, surrounding Home School community, Bicester Garrison Youth Club and local Adult Refugees were invited to take part in workshops and a creative consultation about Bicester. 


Working with professional artist, The Big Orange M (Mani), they researched, developed and produced the Stained Glass Windows now on display in the library.

Bicester Schools Art Festival

Funded by Cherwell District Council, this collaborative project saw pupils from five local primary schools work with us and artist Emily Cooling to produce silk batik banners on the theme ‘Stronger Together’. The project culminated in an exhibition at Bicester library, and all participants completed a Discover Arts Award.

A six-week intergenerational creative health project at Bicester Community Hospital, alongside Creative Minds. This initiative brought together young people and patients through playful and reflective creative sessions designed to spark connection and conversation.

Supported fellow artist Simon Tipping and children from St Edburg’s Primary School to co-create large-scale, celebratory artworks.

In 2022 and 2023 we ran a series of school-based workshops for around 120 primary pupils and facilitated a community lantern workshop where an additional 60 lanterns were made for the public parade. We're hoping event will be funded and return soon!
